STEAR is a trademarked process created by Dr. Sasha Heinz, a developmental psychologist. STEAR stands for Situation > Thoughts > Emotions > Actions > Results.

You can’t change external Situations in life—such as the weather, traffic on the freeway, or what your ex chooses to do (or not do) today. Situations are not within your power to control.

However, you can change your Thoughts: your beliefs, assumptions, and expectations about the Situations happening in your life.

When you change your Thoughts, this creates a domino effect. New Thoughts produce new Emotions. New Emotions produce new Actions. New Actions produce new Results.
